Three Week Activity

 It's been a long year in school, and I am happy that the school year is about to end. I think after we finish our novel I am a Taxi everybody would choose about five topics of things they like. For example, we could choose topics like TV shows, school, sports, books, and anything like this. Everybody would choose about five topics, altogether we would have about 110 topics. Then everybody would write their ideas on a piece of paper, and then give their pieces of paper to Ms. Harstone. Ms. Harstone would put all the ideas in a box. Then everybody would take three pieces of paper out of the box and would choose one idea to do their final project with. The final project could be anything you want. For example, videos, Cd's, scrapbooks, PowerPoint's, and anything you would like. There is no criteria for this project, meaning your free to write as much as you want or as less as you want, but remember you won't get a good mark if you write to less and you have to redo it again if your project isn't good enough. You don't have to write much, you just have to complete the project. The best thing about my idea is that you can choose what kind of project you want to do, and how to lay it out and everything.

Grade 8 Goals

 One thing I want to do at school before the end of the year is become better in sports. I'll make this happen by actually trying to get the ball when it comes my way than just thinking there's no fun in sports and I shouldn't even try. The reason I don't do good in sports is because I don't try hard enough. I don't like sports, and I don't think my goals will come true, but I'll try anyways. It's said my many people that if you keep on trying you will succeed one day, so I'll try to never give up not just in sports but all of my subjects. I'll also practise playing sports more often, and try to get a better grade in sports. I think I'll make the last 11 weeks of school in grade 8 memorable by trying hard to get good grades in all my subjects, and never giving up.

Music

 I like to listen to music. There are lots of types of music I like. For example hip-hop, rap, pop, and many other kinds of music. I like songs that contain a meaning or message. Sometimes I choose songs to listen to that don't really have a meaning. I usually listen to songs that have good music, and beat. I like songs that have a good set rhyme scheme. My favourite songs are the following :

5.Silent Night
 Not every song above is meaningful, but most songs have a meaning to it. For example Firework is a song about not being afraid of who you really are, and to show it to the world proudly. Grenade is about doing anything for someone you know, but they don't appreciate you no matter what you try to do. The singer who sang Grenade was Bruno Mars. He is one of my favourite singers right now. I often change my favourite singer once a month because I get bored of hearing the same songs all the time. We R Who We R has the same meaning as Firework because it encourages you to show the real person inside you, and not the outside made-up person. I like this song a lot because it teaches you to be what you are, and not someone you don't even know. I don't really like the song "Like A G6". I just like the beat, and rhythm created by the singer. Silent Night is a poem like song. It is about how true Christmas was formed. It is one of my favourite Christmas carols of 2011. This poem was written way back in 1816. Silent Night is the most famous Christmas carol of all time! I think most of the songs I choose to listen to have lots of good rhythm, beat, lyrics, music, mood, tune, and sound in them. I usually listen to songs that have a good writer involved in creating, and editing. I think if the writer of the song creates a good feeling more people actually like the song.

The Creativity Company

 I think the video was creative because the orange flower would change into different objects. I liked how the orange flower would play around with the box. I thought the most creative part in this video was when the orange flower went inside the box and blew it up, and became a race car. I thought the idea of making the video was okay. I have seen more creative videos than this one. On a scale of one to ten, I would rate this video a 7/10. I think on a scale of one to ten I would give myself a nine out of ten. I always try to be the most creative I can be, and I always will be.

My Best Memory of 2010

 I have had lots of good memories from 2010. I think one of my best memory was on March 9. On March 9 my family expanded because my mom had her third baby girl. Her name is Akaljot. Akaljot is really cute, and is always smiling. She is very fun to play with. I was really happy that day. About two years ago my family was thinking if they had a baby they would name he or she Akaljot. When my baby sister Akaljot was about a half month old we took her to a temple in Abbotsford for the naming ceremony. We found out that her name would start with the letter A. Then my family knew we should name her Akaljot, even though Akaljot is a boy's name. Ever since my baby sister was born I got honour roll for the first time. My family is really lucky to have such a lucky baby in the house. I love my baby sister so much! When my baby sister Akaljot was born it was my most memorable moment of 2010.

Brar Family

           In my family there are seven people. My grandfather Gurdip Brar, my grandmother Manjit Brar, my father Avtar Brar, my mother Kamaljit Brar, my second youngest sister Simran Brar, my youngest sister Akaljot Brar, and me Prabhjot Brar. I am the oldest of my two sisters. My youngest sister is Akaljot, and Simran is in the middle. Akaljot is very cute, and will be turning one year in one month!  She finally learned how to walk in the age of ten months! Simran goes to school, and is in grade one. Next year she will be in grade two. She had to miss a year because she didn't talk to the teachers, and her classmates. I like my dad the best because he is more nice than anyone in my family. My mom is also nice, but not as much as my dad, and can get angry at sometimes if you make a mistake or something. I want her to be more like my dad. My grandfather, and grandmother go to India every year in the winter. This year they didn't go, but next they will go for sure. They always bring me something from India every time they go.I have many relatives in different cities, and towns, away from Canada, and some are in Canada. My best relative is my aunt Balvir. She is very kind, and always gives me something, when I go and meet her at, her house in Abbotsford. My family is really nice, and I love them all so much!
